I met Jamie for coffee #13 at the Webster Groves Starbucks. He was referred to me through my connection with Dr. Michael Glickert (see coffee #8).
Jamie actually didn't know about my website and so used his gift card and told me it was still a free coffee, haha! Works for me!
Jamie works with a company called Systematic Revenue that helps you manage your leads and contacts. It's a St. Louis software startup company that sounds like its more integrated than a lot of lead management systems.
We talked a lot of business during our meeting but Jamie shared some really valuable insights into how to stay in touch with the network you build. Which comes in pretty handy for a girl trying to meet 300 people in 6 months!
Id like to begin sharing one thing that I take away from each meeting.
I've been having trouble maintaining a strong friendship with my network and that's how everything starts with my job. I have to maintain strong relationships and be top of mind to friends and clients alike, so that when they or someone they know needs marketing, they think of me. Jamie and I talked about effective ways to use LinkedIn and he also told me this blog is a good way to do that, too.
If you have any suggestions on how to stay top of mind with friends and clients, I'd appreciate some feedback in the comments section!
AND, as always, can I take you to coffee?
